Suffering & Work Consultation – Johan Pain

Johan Pain is a psychologist with a degree from the University of Paris Diderot (France). He specializes in work-related clinical and psychopathology. He has been practicing for more than 12 years in private practice and works in occupational health services.

His Souffrance & Travail consultation is aimed at any person presenting difficulties or discomfort related to a work situation: reactive anxiety-depression syndrome, burnout, mental overload pathologies, ethical suffering, moral harassment, post-traumatic stress, loss of meaning at work, self-depreciation, professional hyperactivism, isolation, addictive behaviors, etc.

Johan Pain is a member of the European network of professionals specializing in mental suffering at work (www.souffrance-et-travail.com). He works in partnership with various actors in the field of health and the prevention of mental health at work.

The aim of the interviews is :

– to express oneself on one’s experience and to break with a possible situation of isolation,

– to identify the causes of the malaise and to contextualize the professional elements,

– to encourage therapeutic work and reflection on concrete alternatives,

– to give meaning to work, in line with one’s own aspirations and desires,

– to prevent a worsening of the health situation and of work-related psychopathologies.

The first appointment allows us to discuss the difficulties encountered and to gather information on the person’s professional context. At the end of this first interview, personalized advice, therapeutic work and possible follow-up methods are discussed, depending on the patient’s situation. Orientation may also be proposed.

Strictly confidential, the interviews take place face to face and are governed by the code of ethics for psychologists.
