Perhaps your child feels insecure, lonely, or withdrawn. Perhaps they are quickly overwhelmed by strong emotions such as anger, frustration, or jealousy. Conflicts with your child may be increasing or seem stuck. Or perhaps, as a parent, you find it difficult to make sense of your child’s behaviour — and it triggers feelings in you such as indignation, guilt, or helplessness.
Perhaps you simply want to strengthen your relationship with your child or support them in moving through everyday life with greater confidence, calm, and inner harmony.
Together, we can discover ways to develop new strength, courage, and trust — for a life that reflects your child’s needs and wishes as well as your own, and that is carried by respectful and appreciative relationships.
My Counseling
In my counseling work, I use the systemic approach. This approach helps us understand how social systems — such as family, school, circle of friends, cultural environment, and the wider surroundings as a whole — influence our thinking, feeling, and behaviour.
At the same time, systemic counseling supports people in becoming more aware of their own needs and in developing greater confidence in shaping their own lives.
Working with children differs significantly from working with adults. Children are often not naturally motivated or able to express their inner experiences in words. In order to give them safe access to their feelings, I work with methods drawn from various therapeutic approaches. In this way, an integrative form of counseling for children and adolescents emerges.
In my work with children, I often use creative forms of expression such as drawing, play, or self-invented stories. In this way, I meet them in their active and imaginative nature and support them in finding access to their inner world. This allows inner conflicts to become visible and workable, while at the same time strengthening self-confidence, communication skills, and resilience to stress.
A central key to a child’s well-being lies in their relational environment — especially within the family. That is why working together with you as parents is particularly important to me. My goal is to provide you with support and guidance so that you can build a reliable and strengthening relationship with your child.
I have therapeutic training; however, in Germany I do not hold a license to practice healing professions and therefore I am not permitted to treat or alleviate mental illnesses.
Обо мне
My path into psychological counseling began with a deep interest in how people can find inner strength and orientation even in difficult times.
Before working in the psychological field, I was involved in human rights programs for international organisations in Russia. There, I became aware of how essential a respectful attitude toward the dignity and uniqueness of every person is for a fulfilling life that supports growth and development — both for the individual and for society.
A very personal turning point was the birth of my first child. I experienced how vulnerable and uncertain parents can feel — and at the same time how great the desire is to offer one’s child stable and loving guidance.
This experience first led me into counseling for children and adolescents, later into working with parents and families, and eventually into counseling for adults as well.
Since 2019, I have been supporting families in times of transition, children and their parents who long for more harmony and connection, and people who wish to strengthen their relationships — both with themselves and with others.
If you feel addressed by this, I would be glad to be there for you, your child, and your family.
