Welcome
There may be times when you feel stuck, face challenges, struggle to cope, or simply want to understand yourself better. You might not always know where to turn. Speaking with a warm, non-judgmental counsellor in a safe, confidential space can offer the support you need to live a more fulfilling and resourceful life. In our sessions, we can explore your experiences and feelings, that may be troubling or distressing. I am aiming to create a respectful, supportive relationship where you can heal, grow, restore connections, and nurture yourself.
Many people believe that therapy is only for those facing major problems or trauma, but that’s not the full picture. Therapy can benefit almost anyone, no matter what’s going on in their life. Whether you’re managing everyday stress, wanting to improve communication skills, building healthier relationships, navigating life transitions, focusing on personal growth, or simply trying to better understand yourself, therapy can be an invaluable tool. It can also help you overcome limiting beliefs and break harmful patterns or habits that may be holding you back. These are just a few ways therapy can make a positive impact and why you might want to consider giving it a try.

My Approach
I understand that people seek therapy for many different reasons and with varied goals in mind. My approach is holistic, emphasizing a deep understanding of each client’s unique life experiences, their relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them. As a Humanistic Counsellor I work in an integrative way and draw from Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt approaches.
I deeply value the individuality of each person, believing that within you lies the potential to make the changes you seek. In our work together, I will support you during your most vulnerable moments by creating a trusting, compassionate space where you can feel free to express yourself openly. This safe environment allows you to reflect on your experiences without judgment, so you can feel truly heard and understood.
My approach is trauma-informed and individualized, acknowledging that each person’s journey is unique and may require different forms of support. I focus on tailoring the therapeutic process to suit your specific needs, fostering an environment that promotes healing, resilience, and personal empowerment. By addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—I aim to cultivate a space where you can grow, transform, and feel truly supported in your journey toward positive change.

As a Women’s Mental Health and Trauma-Informed Practitioner, I specialize in providing gender-specific support for women navigating challenging life experiences. My work is deeply rooted in understanding the unique, individual journeys of each woman and how these experiences shape their mental health and overall well-being.
I offer compassionate and empowering support to women from all walks of life, addressing a broad spectrum of issues, including Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD), perinatal loss, fertility and infertility, menopause, emotional and disordered eating, body image, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Endometriosis, and sexuality & pleasure.
Central to my approach is the understanding that sociocultural imbalances play a significant role in women’s mental health outcomes. Societal expectations, gender discrimination, gender bias in treatment, body image issues, violence and trauma, intersectionality, and economic inequality can profoundly affect women’s mental health, often leading to feelings of inadequacy, loneliness, and the development of anxiety or depression. Addressing these factors is essential for fostering true healing and resilience in the women I support.
Additionally, issues unique to women are often under-addressed or misunderstood in mainstream mental health care. For instance, women with ADHD are frequently at risk of misdiagnosis or inadequate treatment due to gender biases in how the disorder presents. Similarly, women on the autism spectrum may face distinct challenges related to social masking and societal expectations, which can further complicate their mental health and well-being. I am committed to addressing these complexities with sensitivity and care, ensuring that every woman receives the support she needs.
I also have extensive experience working with students across various degree levels. I am dedicated to supporting them through both their academic and personal challenges during their academic years and beyond the university years, helping them transition from academic life to the realities of adulthood, employment, and independent living.
Throughout their journey, students often face a range of mental health challenges, including depression, loneliness, anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, performance anxiety, and panic attacks. Addressing these challenges is crucial not only for their academic success but also for their overall well-being and personal growth. By providing individual therapeutic support, I help students navigate these obstacles, empowering them to build resilience and achieve their fullest potential both during their studies and beyond.
