Giulia Civadda, CBT and EMDR therapist in Berlin
I’m Giulia Civadda, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (EABCT) and EMDR (Levels I & II). I work with adults in both Italian and English, in person and online.
I first studied Psychology at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, then completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Sigmund Freud Private University . I subsequently specialized in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at Scuola di Studi Cognitivi in Italy. In addition, I am trained in EMDR therapy for the treatment of trauma. Over the years, I have worked across public mental health services, trauma services, university teaching, and private practice.
My main area of expertise is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related disorders. I also work extensively with anxiety disorders, depression, stress and burnout, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, and challenges related to life transitions and cross-cultural adjustment.
I am trained in a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including CBT and EMDR, and I strongly believe in the importance of tailoring therapy to the unique needs of each person. For this reason, while my clinical foundation is rooted in evidence-based practice, I also adopt an integrative and holistic perspective, drawing on elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), compassion-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and structured. I aim to help clients not only reduce distressing symptoms but also strengthen their inner resources, develop greater self-awareness, and build skills that support long-term well-being. Above all, I see therapy as a safe and supportive space where each individual can feel understood, respected, and empowered to create meaningful change.
