ADHD Focused Therapy
ADHD focused therapy helps people understand and manage difficulties linked to attention, impulsivity, organisation, time management, motivation and emotional regulation. It may be useful for people with adult ADHD, people exploring nöroçeşitlilik ve dikkat, or anyone who struggles with executive functioning in daily life.
ADHD can affect more than concentration. It may make it difficult to start tasks, finish projects, estimate time, maintain routines, manage priorities, regulate emotions or recover after interruptions. These difficulties can influence work, studies, relationships, parenting, self-esteem and everyday responsibilities. Therapy offers a structured space to identify these patterns and build strategies that are realistic, practical and adapted to the person’s life.
Sessions may include psychoeducation, planning tools, habit-building, emotional regulation techniques, problem-solving, self-compassion work and behavioural strategies. Some therapists may integrate approaches such as bilişsel davranışçı terapi, mindfulness-based tools or coaching-informed exercises. The work often focuses on reducing overwhelm, improving follow-through, managing erteleme, and understanding how stress, sleep, emotions and environment affect attention.
ADHD focused therapy can also support people who feel exhausted by repeated effort, shame or the feeling of always being behind. Instead of framing the problem as laziness or lack of discipline, therapy helps explore how ADHD-related patterns work and what can make daily life more manageable. The aim is not perfection, but more sustainable routines, clearer priorities and better emotional balance.
This approach does not replace a medical diagnosis, medication review or emergency care. It can, however, work alongside medical or psychiatric support when needed and help the person develop practical tools for everyday functioning.
