Individual Therapy, Coaching & Couple Counselling in Italian and English in Berlin

Individual Counselling & Coaching

Counselling and coaching are transformative developmental journeys. I utilise a variety of tools and techniques to facilitate personal growth and sustainable change. My focus includes goal setting, addressing limiting beliefs, building confidence, exploring unconscious assumptions, and nurturing the body-emotions-mind connection through self-exploration.

I firmly believe in the importance of tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual and creating a safe and empathetic therapeutic environment is paramount in my practice.

My approach is systemic, while I have a psychoanalytical background, I don’t confine myself to a single approach. Instead, I tailor my methods to suit the individual needs of my patients. Depending on what I believe will benefit the patient at any given moment, I may assign ‘homework’ and adopt a more cognitive stance during our sessions.

My work is often described as talking therapy and I often like to invite the body into the conversation.

I employ a technique called ‘focusing’ which involves directing attention to the bodily sensations that arise in the present moment. This allows us to access information stored in the body— knowings or felt-senses that can be challenging for the mind to perceive. Through this three-way dialogue involving myself, the client, and their body, we create space and time for deep listening and understanding.

This is a safe non judgmental space and anything that comes up in our session is completely confidential.

Couple Counselling & Coaching / mariage therapy

I have a systemic approach, meaning that I pay attention to the whole of you: your body, feelings, thoughts and the people around you.
In the case of relationship counselling, this means I pay attention to each of you individually as well as what is happening between you.

Our relationships have a significant influence on the flavour, texture, and quality of our lives and my aim is to help you improve all these aspects.
I work through unconscious patterns and dynamics, focus on improving communication and creating a fulfilling equilibrium in the relationship.

I know first-hand how hard it can be to work on personal connections and I learned how valuable external help can be.
Any type of relationship is welcome; friends, family, dating, married, living together, LGBTQ, non- monogamous or anything in between.

My values as a psychologist:

Acceptance and non-judgmental listening: These values are closely linked within the therapeutic space. I aim to provide a safe environment for my clients, where they can feel accepted in every aspect of their being.
Presence: It involves being fully present with the patient’s emotions, words, and energy, while also maintaining presence with my own self. Additionally, it encompasses being conscious of what transpires in the space between us, within our therapeutic relationship.

My experience of living abroad:

-Italy: Raised in Italy, as a mixed-race person, my experience of feeling like I was somewhat of a foreigner started in my own country. With time I learned to peacefully and joyfully accept my diversity, finding a part of my identity in many people, places and cultures.
-London & Berlin: I left Milan at the age of 18, moving to London and seven years later relocating to Berlin. These two vibrant cities o
ffered strikingly different perspectives on the world, introducing me to a wide spectrum of people, ideas, possibilities and ways to discover and

express oneself. Through these experiences, I deepened my understanding of the challenges associated with finding one’s place in an ever-evolving internal and external landscape.
Travelling: Throughout my life, I spent at least a month at a time in di
fferent countries; China, USA, India, Nepal and Thailand. These experiences enriched me more than I could have imagined. -Travelling is a reminder of the diversity and the shared of the human experience.

This perspective that I carry into my work with clients helps me foster empathy and understanding as we navigate our unique life journeys.
